Cinnamon‘Tis the season for holiday baking and a popular spice for this time of year is cinnamon. But besides making snickerdoodle cookies and cinnamon rolls, cinnamon actually has health benefits. Today’s article highlights five benefits. Here’s one, “research shows that just smelling cinnamon enhances cognitive processing, but consuming it significantly ups brain function. Scientists at Wheeling Jesuit University asked volunteers to complete computer-based tasks while chewing no gum, plain gum, or gum flavored with cinnamon, peppermint, or jasmine.
